We held our annual Christmas potluck meeting tonight and we had many great door prizes that were donated by some of our generous donors. The meeting will feature current AAW President Dale Larson who will be demonstrating spheres. The Inland Northwest Woodturners in Spokane Valley will also be holding their next meeting on April 5th. The featured demonstrator [...] This month is the last of this year’s Mini-Symposiums. These have proven to be extremely popular events. This is the time to learn some of the techniques which you have been wondering about. As always, we will have several demonstrations set up around the room. You are welcome to attend one or all. Now is [...] I often wonder how anything beyond a basic bowl shape was turned twenty years ago or more. There have been a significant number of new tools and jigs invented that allow for an amazing array of designs. Several of those have been demonstrated at SPSW meetings. Bonnie Klein was our demonstrator at the April membership [...] Our website Learning Center has been inaugurated with two videos from SPSW member Dave Schweitzer covering how to use the D-Way beading tools.
