What’s Happening at Other Chapters

The Northwest Woodturners in Beaverton, Oregon will be meeting on November 3rd with a demonstration by Tom Willing on jam and cup chucks and Scott Trumbo from Serious Toolworks will be showing his full line of M2 turning tools.

The Inland Northwest Woodturners in Spokane Valley are meeting on November 3rd. Joe Mach will demonstrate Christmas and holiday turned ornaments.

The Seattle Woodturners are meeting on November 10th. Reed Gray will be presenting on tool sharpening and their use in bowls. Reed will also be holding an all-day class on the 11th.

The Willamette Valley Woodturners in Salem, Oregon will be meeting on November 10th for their annual auction.

The Northwest Washington Woodturners in Mt. Vernon will be meeting on November 17th. This meeting will feature the club’s annual holiday party. NWWWT will be taking December off.

The Cascade Woodturners in Portland, OR, in collaboration with the Northwest Woodturners and Southwest Washington Woodturners, will be meeting on November 18th (note date change) with a demonstration by SPSW member Eric Lofstrom Eric Lofstrom. Eric will be presenting an all-day demo on Saturday the 19th and a hands-on class on Sunday the 20th.

The Olympic Peninsula Woodturners will be meeting on November 10th with a demonstration on handy dandy home-made tools by Tones Briggs.

The Island Woodturners Guild on Vancouver Island is holding their next meeting on November 26th. Rob Dunlop will show how he makes a “ball-in-a-cube and Barrie Baptie will demonstrate resist-coloring using hot-melt wax.

The Greater Vancouver Woodturners Guild in Vancouver, B.C. will be meeting on November 23rd. Ed Pretty will be demonstrating spiral fluting. Also, Eric Lofstrom will hold and all-day demo on November 12th and an all-day class on the 13th.
