Bob Espen lived in Anchorage, AK.for 23 years. While there he helped found the Alaska Creative Woodworkers Association and the Alaska Chapter of the AAW. He participated in several juried art shows at the Anchorage Museum of Fine Arts,The Portland Rose Festival, and Beneath the Bark in Provo Utah.
He has done demos in Bremerton, Olympia, Seattle, Portland, Salem and Eugene,as well as The AAW in Tacoma and Portland. He has been turning for over 20 years and does a variety of things, bowls,rolling pins, oil lamps.wall hangings, boxes and other things.
His demo will be multi-centered turning using 3,4,or 5 different centers. It is not as difficult as you may think, or as dangerous. The plain box has just 3 separate axis but requires 5 separate chuckings but the pierced one has 5 separate axis and required 13 separate chuckings.
