April Newsletter and Meeting
You can find the newsletter for April 2009 here.
The next meeting is Thursday April 16th at the usual place (Fife Senior Center). You don’t have to be a senior to get in though.
This monthʼs picture is a vase by Neil Bonn. Neil is a retired cabinet maker, who upon retirement decided he wanted to keep his hand in woodworking. He joined the local woodcarvers club.
Dissatisfied with carving he then joined the Evergreen Woodworkers Guild where he met Bob Sweazey, who convinced him to try woodturning and join the SPSW.
That was 2002 and Neil has been turning ever since. Neil is an active member who can be counted on to bring interesting pieces for Show & Tell. This past month Neil brought the vase featured on the cover. Neil tells me that it is made of 404 pieces of Jatoba & Oak.
Good job Neil and keep up the good work!
